We want to share about our lives as Rotary Ambassadorial Scholars from Tennessee. We have been placed in Newcastle upon Tyne, England for the duration of the scholarship.
Today my host Rotarian drove me an hour south to the Tees Side area of the North East where I spoke to the Middlesbrough club. The area is home to a number of chemical industries and many of the members had previously been employed as engineers or scientists with the nearby companies.

We have the Rotary to thank for being able to spend a year in a new and exciting home. Newcastle upon Tyne is a beautiful and thriving city located in Northern England, along the River Tyne. The University of Newcastle is where we'll be studying trade law and international economics for the next year.
